Per-unit pricing, typical areas, and why 'per area' quotes almost always cost you more.

The short answer

Botox in Connecticut ranges from $12 to $18 per unit, with most treatment areas requiring 10 to 30 units. A typical upper-face refresh (forehead + 11s + crow's feet) runs $600 to $1,100. Masseter Botox for jaw clenching costs $600 to $1,500 per treatment. At Bravo MedSpa, we price per unit (starting at $12) so you only pay for what's actually used.

Typical Connecticut area pricing

Area Units Typical cost
Forehead lines 10–20 units $150–$300
Frown lines (11s) 20–30 units $300–$450
Crow's feet (both sides) 10–24 units $150–$360
Lip flip 4–6 units $60–$90
Masseter (both sides) 40–100 units $600–$1,500
Bunny lines 4–6 units $60–$90
Trap-tox (traps) 50–100 units $750–$1,500
Upper-face refresh (forehead + 11s + crow's) 40–74 units $600–$1,100

Why we price per unit, not per area

Every face uses a different number of units. The 11s (frown lines) can take 20 units on a light-muscle client and 40 on a heavy-muscle client. "Per area" pricing charges everyone the same — which is a great deal for the heavy-muscle client and a bad deal for the light-muscle client. We don't think the client with lighter muscles should subsidise the one next to her.

Per-unit pricing also keeps you informed. Before we inject, we tell you how many units we're planning and confirm the dollar figure. You can say "let's scale that back" or "go ahead and do the full plan" — and the price is predictable either way.

What drives Botox pricing in Connecticut

  • Provider credentials: Licensed RN vs aesthetician (Connecticut doesn't allow aestheticians to inject — see the legality guide).
  • Product brand: Dysport and Xeomin sometimes run cheaper per unit than Botox Cosmetic (but the per-unit dosing differs — 1 unit Botox ≠ 1 unit Dysport). At Bravo we carry all four brands so your provider picks based on fit, not margin.
  • Volume/location: Downtown practices with high overhead charge more; suburban med spas like ours in West Hartford and Rocky Hill run mid-market.
  • Experience level: Newer injectors sometimes discount. We use RNs with Allergan Medical Institute certification and ongoing cadaver-lab training.

Red flags that should make you walk away

Per-unit pricing below $10 on a name-brand neurotoxin. Inability to confirm the injector's license in writing. Pressure to buy a package before consultation. No Medical Director on staff. Claims like "painless" or "100% guaranteed no bruising." No photos required before treatment. All of these indicate a practice cutting corners — and the corners they cut are the ones protecting you.

What we charge at Bravo MedSpa

Botox, Jeuveau, and Xeomin: $12–$15 per unit. Dysport: $4–$5 per unit (Dysport is dosed roughly 2.5× that of Botox, so the per-treatment cost lands similar). First-time clients save 10% on their initial treatment. No package minimums. Brand-neutral consultation — we'll match you to the right product, not the one we happen to have promotional pricing on.

Common questions

Because the amount you actually need varies. A forehead for a light-muscle client might be 10 units; a heavy-muscle client might need 20. Per-unit pricing means you pay for what's actually used. 'Per area' pricing rounds up to protect the clinic's margin — and charges the light-muscle client for units they didn't receive.
